I had to put this book down and I haven't had to do that with a book in quite some time. Too much fantasy not enough meat-and-potatoes. The storyline wasn't believable and to give the author and the book credit, I read more than half of the book before I finally put it down and said, "no mas!" If I have to push myself to care about your characters or even remember the storyline, the book's not going to retain me as a reader. It's sad too, because I think the story holds much promise... just didn't like the execution of it.
